GUESS was founded in 1981 in the United States of America. Its founders were four brothers, Georges, Maurice, Armand and Paul Marciano. The brothers were born and raised in Southern Europe, specifically France, and left for America at a young age to pursue their dreams. From the very first day that Guess jeans were released in Bloomingdale's department stores in America, they became a sensation! The whole world was talking about the new success story in the field of haute couture. The company's black and white advertising campaigns became Guess' trademark and won the company many awards internationally. Guess has helped bring many young models to prominence through its clothing lines, such as Claudia Schiffer, Laetitia Casta and Victoria's Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrosio.
